SEN Teaching Assistant

Location:

Yorkshire and the Humber, West Yorkshire, Leeds, LS7

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary:

£77 - £95 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the classroom
  • Assist the class teacher in implementing individual education plans for pupils
  • Help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning materials

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Level 2 or 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools

Experience:

Experience working in a classroom setting with children with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN strategies and techniques
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • First Aid certification
  • Mental Health First Aid training

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a classroom environment with children with SEN. The work may be physically demanding at times and may require assisting students with mobility. The candidate must be willing to undergo background checks and provide references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
