SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 3 with additional learning needs. Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour
Start Date: Monday 3^rd November 2025

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN), both in and out of the classroom.
• Implement strategies outlined in the child’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning materials and activities.
• Foster a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment.
• Monitor and record progress, contributing to regular reviews and planning meetings.
• Support the child’s social and emotional development.

You will need:

• Experience working with children with SEN, particularly in a primary school setting.
• A calm, empathetic, and flexible approach to supporting learning and behaviour.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN training) – desirable but not essential.
