Job description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young children with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant Key Stage 1 team.

About the Role

As an SEN TA, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional challenges. Your role will involve:

Hours: Full-time / Part-time (flexible options available)
Contract: Temporary

Pay: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour

You will be:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support
  • Assisting with tailored learning activities
  • Promoting inclusion and positive behaviour
  • Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing
  • Collaborating with parents and external professionals

What We’re Looking For

We welcome applications from candidates who are:

  • Experienced in supporting children with SEN (school-based or other relevant settings)
  • Patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic
  • Able to build strong relationships with pupils and staff
  • Confident in adapting learning to meet individual needs
  • Hold a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, CACHE, or equivalent)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
