Job description

Full-Time SEN Teaching Assistant – Year 6
Starting: After October Half Term

Teaching Personnel are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Morecambe (LA3) area. This is a full-time role working in a Year 6 class, supporting a child with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) on a 1:1 basis.

The school is looking for a patient, nurturing, and reliable TA with previous experience supporting children with SEN. The right candidate will be able to build positive relationships, provide consistency, and adapt strategies to meet the child’s individual needs.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience supporting children with SEN, ideally ASC

  • Be confident in delivering 1:1 support as well as assisting in the wider classroom

  • Demonstrate strong communication skills and a calm, encouraging approach

  • Hold a TA qualification (desirable but not essential)

Contract: Full-time, long-term position. £13.75-£14.50 per hour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
