Job description

Teaching Assistant – Immediate Start (Blackpool, FY4)
Supporting a Year 4 pupil with ASC

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Blackpool to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible.

This rewarding role will involve providing 1:1 support for a child in Year 4 with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition). The school is looking for someone who can build positive relationships, use effective behaviour management strategies, and create a supportive learning environment that helps the pupil thrive.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ASC.

  • Be confident in managing challenging behaviour in a positive and proactive way.

  • Show patience, resilience, and strong communication skills.

  • Be committed to helping children achieve their full potential.

Role details:

  • Full-time, school hours (Monday–Friday).

  • Immediate start, ongoing role.

  • Competitive pay (£13.75 - £14.50 pre hour), paid weekly.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
