SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary school located in Colne, to start ASAP
Location: Colne, Lancashire
Job Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm
Salary: £13.75 - £15 per hour
Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a supportive primary school? We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team in Colne, providing tailored support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
About the Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to children with SEN, adapting to their individual needs.
- Assist the class teacher with general TA duties, including lesson preparation and classroom management.
- Implement EHCPs (Education, Health & Care Plans) and support students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes confidence and independence.
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school setting.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt to different age groups and learning abilities.
- A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) is desirable.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
