Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant – ASC Support (KS2) – Fleetwood

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a welcoming Primary School in Fleetwood (FY7) who are seeking a caring and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team after the October half term.

This role will involve providing targeted support to pupils across Key Stage 2 who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). The ideal candidate will be patient, adaptable, and able to build positive, trusting relationships to help children thrive in their learning and personal development.

Role details:

  • Start date: Monday 3rd November 2025 (after October half term)

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am – 3:30pm)

  • Working across KS2 classes to provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with ASC.

  • Supporting children with their learning, social skills, and emotional regulation.

  • Collaborating closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement personalised learning plans.

  • Promoting inclusion and encouraging independence wherever possible.

The school are looking for someone who:

  • Has prior experience supporting children with SEN/ASC (school-based or in a care setting).

  • Is calm, empathetic, and able to use positive behaviour strategies effectively.

  • Can adapt learning resources and activities to suit individual needs.

  • Is committed to helping every child reach their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
