SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Garston, Liverpool (supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs in a primary school)
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Long Term Assignments (after successful trial/s)
Pay Rate: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)

Do you have a passion for supporting children with additional needs? We’re looking for caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a welcoming primary school in Garston. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in pupils’ lives while enjoying flexibility that suits you.

Your Role

  • Provide tailored support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Assist teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
  • Work one-to-one or in small groups to help children achieve their potential
  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEN (e.g., autism, ADHD, speech and language needs)
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or willingness to train)
  • Patient, empathetic, and committed to helping every child succeed
  • DBS registered on the Update Service (or willing to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
