Teaching Personnel is proud to work in partnership with a wide range of secondary schools, secondary SEN provisions, and primary SEN schools across the Wirral. Our partner schools are seeking dedicated, compassionate, and reliable SEN Learning Support Assistants to join their teams on a long-term basis from January 2026.

The Role:

As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with a variety of SEN needs (including ASC, ADHD, MLD, SEMH and physical needs).
  • Help create an inclusive, positive, and engaging learning environment.
  • Work alongside skilled teachers and support staff to deliver tailored learning plans.
  • Assist with behaviour regulation, emotional support, and classroom adaptations.
  • Play a vital role in boosting students’ confidence, independence, and academic progress.

  • Pay Rate: £90–£100 per day (depending on experience)

  • Location: Schools across the Wirral (secondary mainstream, secondary SEN, primary SEN)

  • Experience with SEN or a strong desire to learn and develop.
  • Ability to work effectively with students aged 5–16.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
  • Availability for full-time, long-term work from January.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
