SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Speke Area

Location: Speke, Liverpool
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: £13.75 - £14.50 per day (depending on experience)

We are seeking a dedicated SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs in a welcoming primary school in the Speke area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child’s educational journey by providing tailored support in and out of the classroom.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering personalised learning and care plans.
  • Supporting social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to ensure progress.
  • Encouraging independence and confidence in learning.

Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), particularly on a 1:1 basis.
  • Patient, empathetic, and adaptable.
  • Able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Confident in managing behaviour and promoting inclusion.
  • Holds relevant qualifications or has experience in a similar role (Level 2/3 TA or equivalent desirable).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
