Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary School in Speke (ASAP Start)

Location: Speke, L24
Rate: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour
Contract: Long-term

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs in a nurturing primary school environment? We have an exciting opportunity for an SEN Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded primary school in Garston, starting immediately.

About the Role

  • Provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 child with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and ADHD, ensuring consistency and emotional stability.
  • Use play-based and structured learning activities to promote engagement, communication, and progress.
  • Assist with behaviour regulation strategies and encourage positive social interactions.
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to implement tailored interventions.
  • Support with personal care if required and maintain a safe, inclusive environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
