EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant – St William of York RC Primary School

Start Date: January 2026
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Agency: Teaching Personnel

Are you passionate about supporting young learners in their early years? We are seeking a dedicated EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to join their nurturing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within the Early Years Foundation Stage.

The School is a one-form entry primary school with nursery provision, catering for children aged 2 to 11 years. The school prides itself on being inclusive, welcoming families of all faiths or none, and is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and positive environment where every child can thrive.


Role Overview

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN in EYFS.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.
  • Promote inclusion and positive behaviour within the classroom.
  • Support with personal care and social development where required.

Requirements

  • Experience working with children in EYFS, ideally with SEN.
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff.
  • Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
