SEMH Teaching Assistant – Crosby

April 2026 Start | Full-Time | Temp to Perm 

Teaching Personnel are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a Junior School in Crosby, a well-established and community-driven junior school known for its inclusive ethos and strong pastoral care systems.

This welcoming 7–11 setting places a real emphasis on emotional wellbeing, resilience, and positive behaviour support. The leadership team have invested heavily in structured SEMH provision, including intervention spaces and tailored behaviour support plans.

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils across KS2 who present with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. This role will involve a mix of 1:1 and small group intervention work, supporting children who require additional guidance to regulate emotions and access learning.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent 1:1 SEMH support

  • Deliver emotional regulation and behaviour interventions

  • Support reintegration into classroom learning

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils

  • Work closely with the SENCO and pastoral team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
