SEMH Teaching Assistant – Wallasey


April 2026 Start | Flexible Opportunities | Temp to Perm Available

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to work at a Primary School in Wallasey, a vibrant and inclusive primary school at the heart of the community.

The School is recognised for its strong safeguarding culture and nurturing approach. The school has a dedicated pastoral team and structured SEMH support systems in place, making it an excellent environment for support staff looking to make a genuine impact.

This role will involve working primarily across EYFS and KS1, supporting pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural support to engage positively with learning.

The Role Includes:

  • 1:1 support for pupils with SEMH needs

  • Small group emotional literacy interventions

  • Supporting behaviour regulation strategies

  • Encouraging positive peer interactions

  • Working collaboratively with teachers and the SENCO

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
