Teaching Assistant (SEND Support, Autism)

Prenton, Merseyside 
Teaching Personnel

Pay: £14.30 – £15.88 per hour
Hours: 30 hours per week, term‑time only (inc. INSET)
Contract: Temporary until July 2026 (with potential permanent role from September 2026)
Location: Prenton, The Wirral


About the Role

Teaching Personnel are delighted to be working in partnership with a large primary school in Prenton, who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in Y2 who has Autism.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping children with additional needs achieve their full potential. You’ll be joining a friendly, inclusive school community where pupils are encouraged to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

  • Providing targeted 1:1 SEND support in Reception
  • Helping to create a calm, engaging, and responsive learning environment
  • Supporting the school’s inclusive ethos and commitment to high standards

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
