SEN Teaching Assistant – Chulmleigh Area
Location: Chulmleigh and surrounding areas
Start Date: ASAP / Next Term
Contract: Full-time (part-time considered)

Teaching Personnel are looking for a caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in the Chulmleigh area. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional and mental health needs.

  • Assist the class teacher in adapting lessons to meet individual needs.

  • Help create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

  • Support students in developing confidence, independence, and positive relationships.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school-based or other settings).

  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.

  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt to individual needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
