SEND Teaching Assistant – Tiverton, Devon | Immediate Start

Location: Tiverton, Devon
Role: SEND Teaching Assistant
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 3:00pm
Pay: £90 - £100 per day (depending on experience)

About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Tiverton. The school supports pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism, and other learning difficulties. This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a trauma-informed environment that prioritizes student wellbeing and personalised learning.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN
  • Assist with classroom activities and behaviour management
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Support students’ emotional and academic development

Requirements

  • Passion for working with SEN pupils
  • Experience in education, care, or youth work (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong communication, patience, and resilience
  • A proactive and flexible approach to learning support
