SEND Teaching Assistant – Flexible Start Dates | Newton Abbot, Devon

Do you have a passion for supporting young people with additional needs?
Teaching Personnel is looking for enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our partner SEND schools in Newton Abbot.

The Role:

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you’ll provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with a range of needs. Working closely with teachers, you’ll help create a nurturing environment where every pupil can thrive.

We offer full preparation and support, including a welcome meeting and trial day, so you feel confident from day one.

Areas You’ll Support:

You will be supporting both primary and secondary pupils with a wide range of needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, as well as complex needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

  • Start Date: ASAP – flexible openings

  • Contract Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Perm

  • Pay: £90-£100 per day (depending on experience)

  • Passion for supporting young people with SEND

  • Previous education or care experience (preferred but not essential)

  • Patience, strong communication skills, and resilience
