SEN Teaching Assistant
Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant required for a secondary school in Bournemouth.
- Supporting identified pupils and pupils on the Autistic Spectrum (ASC) on a 1:1 basis
- Temporary position starting in February, with the potential of securing a permanent position
- Typical earnings of £1100-£1200 per month depending on experience
- Previous experience working with students with Special Education Needs is essential to be considered for this position.
The SENCO wishes to appoint an SEN Teaching Assistant who has experience working alongside students that have identified needs, students with ASC and children that show signs of challenging behaviour. The school have highlighted that the incoming SEN Teaching Assistant must be able to work alongside students, promoting positive learning and behaviour whenever possible and are able to help them make consistent improvements in class. The successful SEN Teaching Assistant must have a calming nature when working alongside students with SEN needs and be able to identify and defuse stressful situations before they escalate.
