Make a Difference Every Day – Join Our Team as a SEN Teaching Assistant in Bolton!

Teaching Personnel is currently working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in Bolton, seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN

  • Assist in delivering tailored lessons and learning activities under the direction of the class teacher

  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Support pupils with personal care (if required)

  • Monitor progress and provide feedback to the teaching team


What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based or care settings)

  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work Monday to Friday, during term-time school hours

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
