Job description

Are you an experienced and passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with a strong background in supporting children with Autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities? We are looking for a confident and experienced educator to support in one of our inclusive SEN primary schools in the Bolton area.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a specialist setting, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs through both academic and emotional development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead planned lessons and learning activities under teacher guidance
  • Deliver targeted interventions for individuals and small groups
  • Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities across the curriculum
  • Assist in managing behaviour and promoting emotional regulation
  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
  • Provide general classroom support and contribute to EHCP implementation

✅ Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a SEN or HLTA role
  • Enhanced DBS for Child & Adult Workforce (on the update service or willing to obtain)
  • Completion of Safeguarding Training (can be provided)
  • Strong understanding of SEN strategies and inclusive practices
  • Two employment references covering the last 2 years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
