Teaching Personnel are currently working with a school in Leicestershire who are currently looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Mentor.

The school:

They are a special school for students with ASD. social, Emotional and Attachment difficulties, Challenging Behaviour, and/or additional complex needs. The school provides a nurturing and therapeutic environment, with personalised educational pathways enabling students to achieve and reach their full potential. A positive, safe, therapeutic & nurturing environment which has a greater focus on smaller, more direct and attentive classes with a high ratio of experienced teachers & support staff is where you could potentially work.

This position is full-time, working with students in Key Stages 3 and 4 with Autism and challenging behaviour. Due to the nature of the position you must have strong behaviour management skills and able to adapt to any given situation.

The Candidate:

The Criteria for the position:

  • School-based experience in a similar role working with SEMH and/or challenging behaviour is essential.
  • Qualifications beneficial
  • Available full-time and Immediate start.
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service.
  • Youth/Community work experience advantageous.
