Teaching Personnel are working alongside with a specialist SEN school based in Newport that require SEN experienced teachers to work closely with a KS3 class.
The students that attend the class may be diagnosed with autism or co-existing conditions including ADHD, learning difficulties, anxiety, Tourette's syndrome, epilepsy and or challenging behaviour.
Along with great enthusiasm you will be confident planning and executing a lesson whilst keeping pupils engaged and on task to meet their learning aims and objectives. School hours will be between 8:30-3:30, planning and marking may be included along with daily trips to the shop or park that may be required when deescalating a situation.
The school itself is run by a successful team of supporting staff, along with an excellent location and great facilities. Opportunity for both temporary and permanent roles available for the right candidates. There is a competitive rate of pay to be offered ranging from £85-£100 a day.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have gained qualified teaching status
- Have experience working with SEN
- Are registered with the education workforce council
- Can confidently plan a daily routine for support staff within the classroom
- Are either Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT's) or experienced classroom practitioners
- Team teach trained

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
