Teaching personnel are looking to recruit a qualified SEN Teacher for our client school which is located within Loughborough. Your main duties and responsibilities will include:
- To maintain an up-to-date understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) principles, definitions and basic practice.
- To effectively co-ordinate the work across the school in at least one given subject or key skill area as agreed with the Head Teacher.
- To communicate and consult with parents/carers and other appropriate people, preparing reports for and participating in child focused meetings as required.
- To recognise, value and raise the achievement of children.
Working with children and young people with special educational need and disability can be a challenging but rewarding job whatever the role; it's a job that requires enthusiasm, dedication, energy, and a sense of humour.

The School offers education for children aged 3-19 with a moderate to severe learning disability and/or complex health needs in conjunction with:
- Autistic Spectrum Disorder
- Communication difficulties
- Multi-sensory impairment
- Significant medical conditions
- PMLD
- Challengin Behaviour

- the ability to plan effectively to meet the learning needs of all children
- the ability to teach effectively whole classes, groups and individuals
- the ability to use assessment to inform teaching
- the ability to work as a member of a team
- an understanding of the need to preserve confidentiality
