We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join this dynamic school community and make a positive difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs.
Position Overview: As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing specialized instruction, support, and guidance to students with a range of SEN, ensuring they receive the tailored education they need to thrive. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, you will develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), deliver engaging lessons, and create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student well-being and academic achievement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN, in collaboration with parents, caregivers, and support staff.
- Deliver differentiated and engaging lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs and abilities of students with SEN, utilizing a range of teaching strategies, resources, and assistive technologies.
- Provide ongoing assessment of student progress and attainment, adapting teaching approaches and interventions as necessary to support individual learning goals.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and external agencies, maintaining regular communication and collaborating effectively to support student well-being and development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices, resources, and strategies for supporting students with SEN across the school community.
- Participate in SEN reviews, annual reviews, and other relevant meetings to contribute to the ongoing support and progress of students with SEN.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
- Specialization or additional qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) teaching or support.
- Proven experience teaching students with SEN, preferably within a mainstream or specialist setting.
- Strong understanding of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices in SEN education.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Compassion, patience, and empathy for supporting students with diverse learning needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
