We are looking to appoint an engaging Supply Teacher (NQT, FQT or OTT) at a full time KS3 & 4 specialist provision which caters for students who are deemed to be at risk of exclusion from mainstream education
Your role will involve encouraging confidence and ensuring pupils aged 11-16 years have access to their education entitlement; teaching a range of subjects to GCSE students with complex needs, who will display challenging behaviour
This specialist provision massively encourages the development and confidence of each individual pupil, ensuring that class sizes are smaller with additional support staff and students are engaged in their learning and development. The school has a strong focus on well-being with tailored vocational and academic programmes, which families are heavily involved in
Essential:
- You must be a qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent and experience of teaching 11-16 year olds in the UK
- Having excellent knowledge of the core GCSE curriculum.
- Good Behaviour Management
- You should have experience of working with students with SEMH, communication difficulties or complex needs or have a strong interest and a passion to teach pupils with SEN
- You must have your own transport or a reliable lift
Benefits
- A rewarding position, where no two days will be the same
- Smaller Class Sizes, with additional support means that you spend more time teaching
- A very supportive and enthusiastic school team and ongoing support from our specialist consultants
- Access to our very own CPD academy, including free safeguarding training, once fully-vetted with us
- Gold standard safeguarding and vetting checks
