SEN Teaching Assistant Job Plymouth

A school in Plymouth is currently looking for a candidate to fill an SEN Teaching assistant role. Working full time Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm, Term times only.
You would be assisting with the learning and development of students, whereby you would work closely with teachers to help with topics they are learning. Also you would help develop social and emotional skills, through the use of constructive activities, like P.E. swimming, trampolining, climbing or outdoor walking. Working in a vital role with the student, you would be able to hold great responsibility with the planning of daily learning and activities.
As you would be working in a 1:1 or small group setting, it would be beneficial to have backgrounds in any of the following:
- Outdoor education
- Teaching/teaching assistant/nursery
- Social work
- Youth work
- Support work
- Health care/care work
If any of the above applies, please look into this role!
Successful candidates:
- Preferably NVQ Level 3 or higher
- Relevant experience
- Enthusiastic and a great can do attitude
- Calm and empathetic manner
- Good behavioural management
- Full Clean UK driving license
