- Level 2 Teaching Assistant required in Oldham Primary School.

A large inner city Oldham Primary School have contacted Teaching Personnel in order to shortlist a Level 2 Teaching Assistant or above qualified teaching assistant to work in a supporting role this September. The school, in Oldham have noted that they are willing to trial practitioners who are also qualified with appropriate academic degrees. It was also noted that the successful practitioner would be expected to introduce a range of behaviour strategies and support children with suspected ADHD and undiagnosed Autism. With this, the practitioner will be expected to liaise with the SENCO in school in order to work in line with EHCP’s and implement these accordingly.
The school has knowledge that there are a high proportion of children enrolling into the school, who are going to require additional support. This transition for children is difficult and can be a daunting time meaning, as the teaching assistant you will be needing to have a nurturing personality.

A nurturing and calm approach is required to settle the children especially in the younger year groups. The school are keen to interview and trial any prospective candidates as early as next week, and keen to make an appointment ready for the start of the Summer term. In a recent OFSTED inspection, the school was graded GOOD overall and received GOOD for its behaviour.
This is an excellent full time role which will continue until September The working hours will be 0845-1515 and there may be the opportunity to work over time/working through lunchtime.
Please do not hesitate to contact Samantha on 0161 242 1790 or by emailing me an up to date CV to samantha.dodds@teachingpersonnel.com.
