SEN Teaching Assistant - Colne (BB8) X2 

June Start (2024) 

Pay rate: £12.90 - £13.55 per hour (before AWR is addressed)

If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team at a primary SEN school in Colne (BB8) 

  • Position: SEN Nursery Assistant
  • Location: Colne (BB8) 
  • Salary: £80+ per day PAYE (dependent on experience and qualifications)
  • Contract: Full-time, Temp to Perm

The Role: As a SEN Teahcing Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced school team to support the development and wellbeing of our young learners with special educational needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-to-one support to children with SEN, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Assisting with the planning and implementation of engaging and inclusive activities that promote learning and development.
  • Supporting children with personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance.
  • Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create tailored learning experiences for each child.
  • Maintaining a safe and nurturing environment where children feel valued and supported.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally within an early years setting.
  • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of your work.
