Teaching Assistant required for a Tameside secondary school due to an influx of students who require additional support.
With just under 800 pupils on roll this is a full time position working in the schools learning support centre. You will be working alongside experienced teaching assistants and the schools SEN co-ordinator. You will have a number of responsibilities including supporting students who have behaviour and emotional needs and moderate learning difficulties.
Commencing after May half term this is along term Teaching Assistant supply position until December 2017 initially with the potential to earn a school based contract after this. Teaching Assistants interested in this position will need to attend interviews and trial days as planned by the school prior to May half term. To be successful for this Teaching Assistant position you will need to have an engaging personality and ability to build positive relationships with students who require learning support.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teaching assistant coming to the end of post or someone looking for a new challenge working with young people. A teaching assistant qualification would be beneficial for this post but if you have previous experience in a youth work, sports coaching or learning support this teaching assistant post would be well suited.
