Learning Behaviour Mentor/Teaching Assistant Role – Stockport

  • Learning Behaviour Mentor role starting in September 2017

Average sized Secondary school in the Reddish Vale area of Stockport require a recent English graduate currently considering a career in teaching English to work as a teaching assistant/learning behaviour mentor. The successful candidate should have outstanding subject knowledge of English and a natural flare for he subject. This is a full time mentor role where you will be working across the English department and Special Educational Needs department gaining invaluable experience within a school setting.

The school has a great reputation of supporting graduates providing school based experience as a teaching assistant or learning mentor. You will be working alongside fully qualified English teachers providing additional support to students who may need to catch up to their peers as well as providing support to students on a 1:1 and small group basis.

Initially on a long term temporary basis this Learning Behaviour Mentor position will be commencing in September 2017.

Highlights of this English Learning Behaviour Mentor post;

• Pay up to £65 per day dependant on experience and qualifications

• Full time English Mentor position

The successful candidate should be confident in their approach and be keen to work with students aged 11 -16. The school is average in size with just under 1000 students. The school is set in the vibrant area of Reddish Vale where there are high levels of students eligible for free school meals.

The Learning Behaviour Mentor role would be well suited to an English graduate or someone who has managed behaviour or has tutoring experience.
