Tutor required in Lancashire area

  • Long term position available Tutoring
  • The chance to work ad-hoc hours and plan your own timetable
  • Perfect opportunity for a Graduate or a Teacher looking to move away from a full timetable

Teaching Personnel work closely with an education centre who provide education and support for pupils with Special Educational Needs including; SEMH Difficulties, Autism, Anxiety, ODD, PMLD and pupils who come from disadvantaged backgrounds and can no longer remain in mainstream education.

The Education Centre is based near the Preston area and it also offers residential options for the pupils, therefore the School day does not always follow the typical 8.45-3.15pm rota and there may be opportunities to provide Tutoring sessions before or after the School day.

The role will require the Tutor to plan, prepare and deliver a range of subjects (often including Maths, English, Science and/or Functional Skills) to pupils aged between 11-18 years old. The pupils have often been relocated and/or moved out of mainstream education for various reasons.

The role would be suited to a Graduate looking to get into Teaching or gain experience within Tutoring, the role would also suit a Teacher who is looking to retire or move away from a full Teaching time table.

The hours are often ad-hoc and the Education Centre are happy to be flexible to accommodate the right candidate. The pay will be between £10-16 per hour based upon experience.

If this role sounds ideal for you please do not hesitate in contacting Kirsten on 01772 842155 or email your CV and covering letter to kirsten.ashcroft@teachingpersonnel.com as soon as possible!
