SEN 1-1 Teaching Assistant
Location – Fareham
Start date – December 2025
Contract – Part Time and Full Time

Who we’re seeking:
- Experience supporting children with SEN, such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- A calm, empathetic, and supportive approach tailored to the needs of individual pupils.
- Ability to build trusting relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
- Strong communication skills, flexibility, and a proactive attitude.
- A genuine passion for inclusion and helping children reach their potential.
- Previous school-based experience or relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
About the role:
- Provide 1:1 classroom and pastoral support for a pupil with specific learning or emotional needs.
- Adapt learning materials and teaching strategies to meet individual targets.
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement and review personalised support plans.
- Encourage confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
