Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Location: Fareham

Take the next step in your teaching career! We’re recruiting an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a friendly, inclusive primary school in Fareham and make a real impact on pupil progress.
About the Role
As a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Lead whole-class sessions when the class teacher is unavailable.
- Deliver targeted small-group and 1:1 support to help pupils achieve their learning goals.
- Assist in planning and delivering lessons across EYFS, KS1, or KS2.
- Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
- Encourage pupils to build confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
Who we’re looking for
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience supporting teaching and learning.
- Confidence in leading groups and managing lessons.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Flexible, proactive, and committed to supporting all pupils.
- Experience with SEN or additional needs is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine passion for helping every child reach their potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
