SEMH Teaching Assistant/Tutor required in the New Forest

Do you have experience dealing with individuals with SEMH and Challenging Behaviour?

We are currently seeking Teaching Assistants to operate within a unique tutor position in one of our partnered SEMH provisions based in the New Forest. Successful applicants will be required to aid with the management and education of young children and adults aged between 8 and 19 years of age.

The position is due to start in September 2018, and will involve applicants supporting pupils not attending mainstream schools with a variety of complex emotional and social needs, including:

  • Autism
  • Phobia of Education
  • Challenging Behaviour

The main responsibilities of this position will include:

  • Control of Behaviour Management
  • Transporting pupils between locations and operating with outside agencies (carers and social workers)

Previous experience is required. This is an amazing opportunity to help with the development of young boys and girls, in an exciting position working within an outstanding school system.

The hours will operate between 8.30am and 3.30pm.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
