A rewarding new role has arisen at a medium sized secondary school based in Sheffield. Successful candidates are required to work with small groups of children as well as on a 1:1 basis with children who display challenging behaviour.
-You must be able to create strong relationships with both staff and pupils, be able to create a stimulating and active learning environment as well as liaising regularly with parents regarding to pupil progress.
-Your role as a teaching assistant will be solely for the direct support of the children within their educational setting.
-You will provide continuous provision to the pupils by helping them stay focused in class, be persistent with your behaviour management strategies, simplifying and breaking down instructions when needed. You will also need to build up trusting relationship with your pupils.
Relevant qualifications and experience will be highly beneficial, yet it will be your ability to build relationships and increase pupils attainment and sense of worth that will make you a success.
