Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant

Location: Bridgend
Start Date: Immediate / Ongoing
Contract: Full-time / part-time available 
Pay: From £89.38 per day


Do you have a background in Sports Science or Sports Coaching and are looking to kick‑start a rewarding career in education? 

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking energetic, motivated, and hands-on people to work as Teaching Assistants across primary, secondary and SEN schools. This is the perfect opportunity if you're considering a future career in teaching, coaching, or child development.

Your background in sport gives you the ideal skillset to support pupils both in and out of the classroom — from motivating learners, to promoting teamwork, resilience, and positive behaviour.


What the role involves:

  • Supporting pupils in class, small groups, or 1:1
  • Assisting teachers with lesson delivery and classroom management
  • Helping to build pupils’ confidence, engagement, and focus
  • Supporting behaviour, emotional regulation, and social skills
  • Bringing energy, teamwork, and enthusiasm to the school environment

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has a background in a sporty setting
  • Enjoys working with children and young people
  • Is confident, proactive, and a natural motivator
  • Can build strong relationships quickly
  • Is considering a career in education, coaching, or youth work
  • Brings passion, resilience, and a positive attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
