About the School

A small, friendly SEMH school in North Manchester is seeking a dedicated and engaging Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team. The school caters for pupils in Years 7 to 11 and is set in a quiet, leafy part of Blackley.

Their approach is deeply relational, placing strong emphasis on building meaningful connections with pupils, staff, and the wider community. They work hard to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every young person feels valued and supported to succeed.

The school follows an adapted National Curriculum, offering both academic and vocational pathways at KS4. Staff are passionate about helping pupils develop emotional resilience, confidence, and academic achievement.

  • Support pupils in developing emotional regulation, resilience, and readiness for learning.

About You

You're a great fit if you are:

  • Warm, engaging, and able to build rapport with young people.
  • Confident supporting GCSE-level learning.
  • Experienced in a school environment (essential).
  • Patient, adaptable, and resilient.
  • Passionate about helping pupils grow both emotionally and academically.
  • A team player with strong communication skills.

What the School Offers

  • A close‑knit, welcoming staff team.
