We’re recruiting SEMH Teaching Assistants to work in fast-paced, high-need school within the Norwich area. These settings support pupils with a wide range of learning, social, and behavioural needs and rely on dependable adults who can provide structure, consistency, and positive support.

Driving is essential
You must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle, as the location of placements may change and travel between schools may be required at short notice.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Supporting pupils with complex academic, emotional, and behavioural needs

Assisting with literacy, numeracy, and classroom-based activities

Managing challenging behaviour using calm communication and clear boundaries

Creating a safe, purposeful, and well-structured learning environment

Has strong behaviour management skills and classroom presence

Is flexible, reliable, and proactive

Builds positive, respectful relationships with pupils and staff

We have a school based north of Norwich that provides tailored educational pathways for young people who, for a range of reasons, are unable to attend mainstream schools.

They support up to 98 pupils from Year 1 to Year 11, working in close partnership with parents and carers, as well as the wider community. Pupils receive bespoke support through a highly personalised programme, ensuring that they can thrive.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
