Are you seeking a position in a Nelson School?
I work with a Nelson Pupil Referral Unit who require a Behaviour Mentor/Support Assistant to work with their most challenging pupils. Ideally the candidate will come from a background where they have worked with challenging youths or ideally come from a military background as the School work closely with a charity who cater for pupils who are looking to join the army.
The role will likely be full time and is due to continue until the summer if not become a permanent position. The role will require you to work 1:1 with both physically and verbally aggressive pupils and the candidate must be confident and not phased by the behaviour. You may also be expected to undertake your Team Teach qualification.
The candidate must be flexible, hard working, enthusiastic and have strong behaviour management skills. Ideally the candidate will have experience in a School or have experience working with challenging pupils.
The successful candidate will benefit from:
