We are recruiting a full-time SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils aged 3 to 19 in a specialist, nurturing school environment (school name not disclosed).

The school is widely praised for its warm atmosphere, exceptional facilities and commitment to helping every pupil reach their full potential.

Working hours are 9.00am to 3.15pm, Monday to Friday, with opportunities across both primary and secondary age groups.

Your Role and Responsibilities

As a SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a key part in supporting pupils’ learning and personal development. Your role will involve:

• Working closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons

• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional well-being

• Providing tailored support to help pupils progress

• Helping maintain a calm, structured and safe learning environment

Every day is different, rewarding and meaningful.

Requirements

To be considered, we ask that you:

• Have at least 6 months of childcare experience, ideally supporting young people in an educational or care setting

• Bring patience, resilience and a passion for helping others succeed

• Hold a driving licence, as the school is not easily accessible by public transport

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
