SEN Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | Bournemouth | Immediate Start

An exciting opportunity has become available for a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a nurturing and inclusive specialist school in Bournemouth.

This full-time role offers the chance to support children aged 5 to 12 with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them develop essential life skills, confidence, and independence in a supportive and engaging environment.

 

About the Role
This position is full-time, Monday to Friday, from 8.30am to 3.30pm, with an immediate start.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to students with a variety of learning and developmental needs.

Your role will include supporting learning activities, encouraging positive behaviour, and fostering emotional and social growth among pupils who thrive on encouragement and consistency.

Requirements
We are seeking a kind, patient, and proactive individual who has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs. To be successful in this role, you must have:
• A minimum of 6 months’ childcare experience, particularly supporting children with SEN needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A caring, resilient, and adaptable approach to working with young learners
• A commitment to helping children achieve their personal and educational goals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
