Teaching Personnel are currently working closely with a specialist mainstream primary school based in Blackburn, Lancashire, the school has recently been graded "good" by Ofsted. The school is only 10 minutes away from Junction 3 of the M65 and is also easily accessible via a range of public transport link.
The post will be to start as soon as possible and continue for the foreseeable future, with the possibility of becoming a permanent member of their staff. The mainstream primary school deals with pupils who display strong challenging behaviour and a wide range of SEMH needs. staff are trained to positively manage behaviour and rehabilitate them back into a mainstream classroom setting.
Successful candidates will need to be confident and able to build strong effective relationships with the pupils alongside being a team player. Knowledge of how to de-escalate challenging behaviour from pupils, patience and a holistic and calm approach to pupils is essential. We are looking for hard working and committed individuals who would be confident and happy working with challenging pupils across KS1 and KS2.
It is essential that you have experience in the following:
• Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour SEMH or SEN.
• Firm understanding off the personal and social issues that surround children with challenging behaviour
• Be able to encourage learners to overcome barriers their learning and create positive change
We welcome individuals who have had previous work experience in challenging residential settings, prisons and military roles.
