Job description

We are currently working with a Primary School in the Slough looking for a full time (8.30am-4.30pm) Special Needs Teacher to start in September 2019.

The role:

  • Teaching a small number of pupils with Social, Emotional Mental Health Needs and Autism.
  • Teaching all subjects - including the core subjects of Maths, English and Science.
  • Managing behaviour - supported by numerous teaching assistants
  • Guiding the children academically and socially
  • Tracking pupils on behaviour, social skills and academic ability

Suitable Candidate

  • Fully Qualified Primary Teacher - QTS document and DFE number are required as proof
  • Experience working with Special Needs - Autism, ADHD and Mental Health Needs
  • Strong on behaviour management
  • Resilient in stressful and particularly challenging situations
  • Team Teach (preferred but not essential)
