General Cover Teacher – Secondary Schools – Essex

£130 – £170 per day

Are you a confident and adaptable educator looking for flexible teaching opportunities in secondary schools across Essex?

We’re seeking reliable and enthusiastic General Cover Teachers to step into a variety of classroom settings, delivering pre-planned lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular teacher.


About the Role

  • Provide short-term and day-to-day cover across a range of subjects

  • Support students in their learning and manage classroom behaviour effectively

  • Ensure continuity of education during teacher absences

  • Build valuable experience across different schools and key stages


What We’re Looking For

✔️ Strong classroom management and communication skills
✔️ Experience working with secondary-aged pupils (QTS not essential)
✔️ A flexible, proactive, and professional approach
✔️ A genuine interest in supporting young people’s learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
