Location: Newport, South Wales
Pay Rate: £172.98 per day
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Contract: Full Academic Year
About the Role
We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary School Teacher to join one of our trusted partner schools in the Newport area.
This position involves teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to support Key Stage 5 depending on your experience and subject specialism. You’ll play a key role in delivering engaging lessons, supporting student progress, and contributing to a positive school environment. You’ll also have the chance to get involved in wider school life through extracurricular activities, clubs, and school events.

We welcome applications from individuals who:
- Have or are wanting experience teaching in a secondary school setting (KS3/KS4 essential; KS5 desirable)
- Can plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum
- Foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
- Demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills
- Are committed to student development and wellbeing
- Are passionate about making a positive impact in education
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards completion
We can support you in obtaining the following if needed:
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
- At least two recent professional references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
