Boys’ PE Teacher (KS3) – Full Time – Immediate Start – Newport

Location: Newport, South Wales
Contract Type: Full Time until August 2026
Start Date: Immediate
Salary: Paid in line with MPS/UPS (£33,731 - £51,942)

We are delighted to be recruiting for a passionate and energetic Boys’ PE Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Newport. This is an exciting full-time opportunity to teach PE across Key Stage 3 and take on a form tutor responsibility, becoming part of a school that has been praised for its inclusive ethos, strong leadership, and effective teaching.

The Role

  • Deliver engaging and motivating PE lessons across KS3 Boys’ classes

  • Encourage active participation, resilience, and a love of physical education

  • Take on the role of form tutor, supporting students’ pastoral development

  • Work collaboratively within a supportive department and whole-school team

  • Inspire pupils to achieve both inside and outside the classroom, including through extracurricular opportunities

What We’re Looking For

  • QTS/QTLS (or equivalent) with a specialism in Physical Education

  • Experience teaching PE at KS3 (KS4 experience desirable)

  • A teacher with energy, enthusiasm, and excellent classroom management

  • Someone who can create a positive learning environment where pupils thrive

  • Commitment to supporting whole-school life, including pastoral and extracurricular activities
