Salary: MPS/UPS – Competitive, depending on experience

About the Role: 

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic science teacher to join our secondary school in West Bromwich. The successful candidate will teach science to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to contribute to post-16 teaching if desired. You will play a vital role in inspiring students to develop a passion for science and achieve excellent academic outcomes.

Role Resposnibilites: 

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective science lessons in line with the national curriculum.

• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and reports.

• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that motivates students.

• Contribute to the development and enrichment of the science curriculum.

• Support and supervise practical work and experiments safely.

• Participate in departmental meetings and school events.

• Promote good behaviour and support school policies.

Role Requirements: 

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.

• Degree in a science subject (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or equivalent.

• Experience teaching science at secondary level (KS3 and KS4).

• Strong subject knowledge and up-to-date understanding of the science curriculum.

• Effective classroom management skills.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
