Location: West Bromwich
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: MPS/UPS – Competitive, depending on experience
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic science teacher to join our secondary school in West Bromwich. The successful candidate will teach science to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to contribute to post-16 teaching if desired. You will play a vital role in inspiring students to develop a passion for science and achieve excellent academic outcomes.
Role Resposnibilites:

Plan and deliver engaging and effective science lessons in line with the national curriculum.

Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and reports.
-
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that motivates students.
-
Contribute to the development and enrichment of the science curriculum.
-
Support and supervise practical work and experiments safely.
-
Participate in departmental meetings and school events.
-
Promote good behaviour and support school policies.
Role Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
-
Degree in a science subject (e.g. Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or equivalent.

Experience teaching science at secondary level (KS3 and KS4).
-
Strong subject knowledge and up-to-date understanding of the science curriculum.
-
Effective classroom management skills.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.
-
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
