Our partner school in Tameside are looking to appoint a Science teacher for an upcoming maternity around the Easter break. The position is full time delivering all Sciences to KS3 and a flexible KS4 timetable dependant on the successful applicant's preference of Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
The school is a traditional mixed comprehensive covering year groups 7-11, with a high proportion of students eligible for free school meals at 39%. The Science department has 7 full time teachers, an experienced head of department and modern teaching aids.
If appointed for this post the maternity cover will continue until February 2020 in the first instance with the potential for an extension.

- Pay in line with your teachers scale point £23,720-£39,406

- Supportive head of department and senior leadership team
Situated in the SK15 post code of Tameside the school can be located just of the M67 motorway. There is a train station a 10 minute walk away form the school and direct bus routes from Manchester.
Essential requirements;
- Qualified teacher status in the UK, and experience teaching in a UK secondary school
- Eligibility for a fully enhanced BDS certificate
- Available full time from Easter
- Suitable school based references
