We want to hear from NQTs and experienced teachers for a temporary to permanent position from September 2020!
Join a dynamic, forward thinking secondary school in Darwen, seeking to appoint a Teacher of Science from September 2020. The successful Science teacher will join a supportive department and will deliver KS3 and GCSE (AQA) Science across the age and ability range.
The successful Teacher of Science will be an excellent teacher with a record of success and will be required on a full-time temporary basis for the first term initially with the role going permanent in January 2021.
Responsibilities of this role will include:
- Planning and teaching well structured lessons across KS3 and KS4.
- Contributing to the design and implementation of an engaging curriculum.
- Differentiating lessons appropriately, using approaches which enable pupils to be taught effectively.
- Creating a positive learning environment and managing classroom behaviour in accordance with the school’s behaviour policy.
To apply for this position candidates must:
- Have QTS. (or equivalent)
- Have recent experience delivering KS3 and GCSE Science.
- Have through subject knowledge and up to date knowledge of the UK curriculum and relevant exam boards.
- Be able to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate will join a popular and vibrant multi-cultural secondary school located in Blackpool.
